I really enjoy both playing and watching
football. It's my favorite sport.
I really think it's a sport that requires a lot of
smarts. If you've ever played it, I think you know what I
mean. In my opinion, the smartest person and one of
the better athletes on the field has got to be the safety.
They must read formations and react in a second. The safety
is also the last line of defense (no pun intended) between a tackle and
scoring. The two words you can say to me on a football field
and render me your slave for eternity are "play safety".
Enough said.
My favorite player of all time is Steve
Atwater. This guy is phenomenal to watch. He could
take on offensive lineman and people a lot bigger than him with
virtually no problems. I will also refer you to the Monday
Night Football game where he knocked Christian Okoye into the middle of
next week. Okoye outweighed him significantly.
That's just one example of what Atwater can do. He's truly
amazing.
